Lydia Stevens - Late 20's
Fierce and strong but emotionally fragile. Lydia works as a nursing assistant in a home for the elderly. She is financially struggling and in a 7 year relationship with a guy who doesn’t want to commit. When Lydia meets a new resident who appears to be covering up physical abuse, she struggles to deal with her own emotional past while helping Sam to report his abuser. Unbeknownst to Lydia, this unlikely new friendship is the lifeline she has been looking for. (Think Brie Larson in Short Term 12)

Sarah Martin - Mid to late twenties Smart, eager and judgmental, Sarah is the new member in the investigative unit. She knows that she is smart but no one listens to her and she just needs somebody to give her a chance. When her partner let’s her take lead on a case, Sarah’s rash decisions lead them down a series of missteps and fails. Sarah must find a way to earn back the respect her partner and learn how to act as a team. (Think Stephanie Martini in Prime Suspect 1973)

Stephanie Henderson - Early ThirtiesHappy, caring, and sensitive, Stephanie is over the moon excited to be newly engaged to the man of her dreams Brian. The only issue is that her young son from her first marriage and her fiancé do not seem to be connecting. Stephanie plans a weekend camping trip to show the two most important men in her life that they can be the perfect family. When they lose their food supply to raccoons and a freak thunderstorm erupts, their trip goes from awkward to miserable and Stephanie realizes that truthful relationships have to be forged not forced.
